Work experience
Today I went and did a days work experience with a lovely jeweller called Alice Robson, her studio in in her garden and is absolutely beautiful and amazing! I went along with Becky, linda and Molly so she was lucky and had four of us to help her file and sand her work. She gets her jewellery cast and it comes back and has to be cleaned up ready for the next stage. It's all commercial jewellery and so she sells lots and needs to mass produce it quickly. Lovely lady, and I'm sure I'll go back to help again.

All Bottled up
Dandelions are a huge part of my project at the moment, because they mean so much to me, A wish is a powerful thing.
A wish caught in a bottle, so that maybe I can always believe it is possible for it to become true.
Laser machine etched!
On Thursday when i done my laser cut skeleton leaf, i also attempted to laser cut these dandelions but I didn't change it properly in illustrator, so the vector wasn't done properly, but i really liked it etched anyway, i love how it burns the edges, most people wouldn't that about it.
Lighting
Playing around with lighting, with my skeleton leaf laser cut out. The light shining through it looks beautiful you can see all the details.

Dandelion drawing
This is a quick sketch of mine, Organic - Wish. Dandelions being blown away, made a wish... Scattered wishes
Bola Lyon
when i went to The Goldsmiths fair in London a few weeks ago i met a lovely jeweler called Bola Lyon, her jewellery is beautiful and based around the anatomy and organic forms.
Bola is a jeweler based in London, and i met her at the London goldsmiths fair. I love her work its so detailed and beautiful, at first i thought she casts her pieces, but when i spoke to her she said she uses silver wire and solders it all together, this is very time consuming but as she wants detailed pieces she has to do it this way casting wont get the fine detail needed. I also love the clasps on her necklaces they just finish the pieces beautifully.

Organic | Wish
Dandelions!... everything i see one i always without fail make a wish! there was a time when my wishes meant so much to me.. Organic - Wish ...... these are my words for my reflective practice for my current project at uni.
Skeleton poppy seed pod head
I Found this beautiful photo of a poppy seed pod head, and it just reminds me of why i love and adore the decay within nature, the beautiful detailed skeleton form.
Beautiful Clay Creatures
1
One of my friends sent me a link to these beautiful original handmade OOAK clay art sculpture... they are absolutely amazing, i like them because they are inspired by the decay, the detail is extraordinary beautifully crafted.
Toril Bonsaksen
Toril Bonsaksen is one of my favorite makers, her work is beautiful, she uses organic forms and coats them in either gold, silver or copper, She uses a technique called galvanization, which is amazing but very technical and uses toxic chemicals. The organic materials Toril coats in both precious and semi - precious metal are physalis alkekengi other wise known as Chinese lanterns, they are a beautiful organic form. I'm in love with Chinese lanterns anyway, amazing plants!
Beautiful Skeleton forms
Anything and Everything to do with decay within organic forms i adore, i
think the beauty in the decay within nature is truly beautiful.
Skeleton forms are delicate, detailed and fragile.
I much prefer a skeleton leaf rather than a leaf during the summer when the leaf color is green and full of life, I believe you see the beauty in more depth once leaves have decayed, you see the veins and detail of the form of the leaf much better.
