Throwback to my degree work 2015

A little throwback to my degree show work, was looking through my photos and came across these can't believe my degree show was a year ago and graduated, crazy how time flies! a lot has happened since then, and i cant wait to venture onto the next chapter, setting up the new studio next month only a few months away. 

Rose petal "sculptural piece" 2015

This collection is inspired by decaying and fading rose petals, how they become fragile and delicate fragments of nature.
Each glass petal represents a lost family member.

Title: Deconstructed poppy necklace 

Materials: Copper, Silver, Rose gold, Black cord, silk thread and enamel.

Can't wait to finish this, just have to wait till i move studio... so excited! 

Recently in my studio work i have been using various methods and techniques, however i predominantly use silver, copper and enamels, i have recently been exploring more mixed media materials such as textiles, silk threads and cords. 

My kitty kat thinks its a game when I'm wrapping and threading the silk thread around the cord.. she's a distraction..
